Fascism lives on...

Fascism Lives On...

Pop-culture has the ability to suppress possibility. As to exclaim certain points of interest that one thinks is irrelevant, but is sorely possible, important and sometimes dangerous. For example: A popular video game franchise set in a world of Nazi Germany bringing about its influence and standpoint onto the USA. Basically occupying it, and living in it. This, in our opinion, is the imaginary standpoint, and equally irrelevant, but somewhat interesting, view of a possible outcome of our future. Yet, who are we to think this is only possible in video games? As in, just because a video game portrays the USA as occupied by German Nazis, doesn't mean that its influence is not real or possible. I think we live in a Nazi occupied regime of some sorts. Where our leaders coerce and enforce obedience under the guise of freedom. That we have to work and suffer, due to our own inadequacies, in a realm not of our choosing, and if we don't, since we lack the required imagination, we fail miserably, and stay open to criticism and open alienation from ignorant fools trapped in the same maze or rat race. Our freedom comes at a price, but it is much lower than our permanent enslavement, and enrollment to society, the rubbish dump and nuclear waste disposal.
