A guide to media (work in progress)
Introduction:
The expectation, seen through the eyes of modern man, expecting
conformity to service delivery, by his fellows, brings about denial of what is
true, if not for substantial evidence, or the proclamation of identity by ego,
or rational intent. That it will rain only, possibly, on a cloudy day, and that
it can only rain with clouds in the sky, definitely. Tolerance is seen from a
perceptually motivated stance, only as is expected in a being, believing in the
communal aspect of stereotype almost religiously, or fanatically, innocently
quietly. Violently moral, or morally violent. Ethics is seen as maturity
reached, humanly expressed, globally adhered, but ignorantly and childishly
when confronted initially. That morality is a social notion, only seen from the
inside, outside. This is where, since antiquity from a modern perspective, the
media, or the press, plays a large role in the shaping of the minds of men, in
a social setting, even while he’s alone, gearing for gossip, and common day affairs
with his fellows, when he steps outside of his home, or place of rest, and escape,
from the world around his abode. That he brings the world outside inside even
in himself, has become expected, where he is tolerated only by his views in
relation to others, which brings about his moral stance, but only as requested,
expected, and required. Almost in a religious sense, bordering on the nay say
of fanaticism.
Media - The possible enemy of man, but in some minds the actual
liberator and not perpetrator:
Freedom is seen in action. The physical and psychological. And speech,
being a form of disconnected action, where the actor is merely a face heard,
and not ignored, is equally found, or tolerated for its power, only from
someone specifically, like David Letterman or David Lynch, and not the
audience, the ones digesting the garbage spewed at them unnecessarily and
without choice. This is not just in relation to what we deem speech to be, but
also what it is not. Examples are aplenty. The eyes do not see words. The eyes
are deaf to your ears. You speak and spell, for reasons only you would know, if
you ever thought about it. What we call media – is interaction with certain
emblems or symbols in the outside world. For we carry a body, we also do not
carry the world. Though some would believe that, for example, a President. Surely,
we should realize the disconnection from that which we are not, but also see
how that which is separate from us, also control us through force, and speech.
I swear, we talk out loud way too much.
The advent of media was the beginning of distraction. All conscious
emblems can be seen as media portrayed to us, and so it depends on the type of
exposure one has to which media, that somehow define us. Yet which conscious
elements do we ignore? Like a photograph out of focus or blurring the
background out to focus attention elsewhere. Is there detail in the inexplicable
or invisible, or that which the conscious mind does not fathom or realize to actually
perceive? Eventually, we may deny that our lives are meaningless, due to only
our conscious desires shining through, until we pass.
Our minds are torn towards things which protects us, who wants to see
death and torture except the torturers and murderers.
Is a prison man-made, or can it make man? An unconscious entity dealing
conscious equations upon its subjects or participants.
Are thoughts that are rational and sane – moral and safe? Can thoughts
be evil if not acted upon? Does the physical dimension realize consciousness?
Is reality consciously perceived? What is consciousness if it is linked to a
physical body to a physical plane that can also be alternatively explained or
has occurrence?
We tend to believe that words are actions, since actions can be
explained in words, or words can explain actions. They are not the actions they
describe; they are the actions of what it is and is used for. As in to speak
about war, is not waging war. It is the speaking of what the mind considers and
understands of what war is. Though it, discussing the reality of war, does not
bring about comprehension or realization, for a war deals with physical, and
psychological, determinations beyond discussing it. If speaking about war, whether
condoning it, or cursing it, is an act of war, or a stand against war, then war
is alienated from that which it is and should be redefined through correctly
realizing it.
The Media:
The role of the media initially, to serve its own purpose and vision,
was to enlighten us all, and then the notion of freedom of speech, declaring
itself a political act(ion) resembling heroes going into danger, as the victims
are already there, to pronounce, from a distance, that chaos is ensuing, or
someone is corrupt, where funnily enough, only gossip has been attained, and no
change, or redemption for the victims at hand. To solidify and unify society,
solely under the basis of what expression is, and not what it is meant for.
Ideally, man should be silent, but the media, believes only in itself, where
luckily, they will surrender to the cause they have worshipped all along. The
concept of fame and fortune. High society speaking for the poor with the powerful
and rich. Imagine a homeless person reporting the news all unwashed, clothes
and all, where you’ll receive another version of the truth, or another
perspective at least, perhaps of something completely inane, and equally
irrelevant to the classy reporter, speaking English fluently but basically. In short,
the media is not a moral compass too society anymore, or at least as it used to
believe it is. Now it has become one with the propaganda machine it has warned
us of, which it was supposedly fighting. Declaring the truth or the factual
over the lies and delusionary. Being the only source of input expressionistically
in our lives, thereby dumbing us down, and themselves of course, for no toilet
cleaner is cleaner than the toilet it cleans, as was eagerly ignored, and
fought against, by the House of Commons, for the media protected their
interests, by only educating the masses with its needed interests to propagate
their pockets, and liberated state found only by a ruler of state, and not some
dictator doing exactly the same but only using violent means and not a mix of
the two to prove its need to exist, and a reason to escape while on a golf
course, which is there due to the destruction without thought and resentment of natural land, which some of us actually wanted to use and set our feet on, and
not just some bimbo called Kim, and her friends, the beauty queens of our day
until they die or age like motorcycles, always one step ahead, but so far
behind the truth it actually hurts to see them live in denial, always thinking
their voices matter, even though their voice is supposedly all that we need to
be rational and sane or healthy, mentally and dentally. To prove this, imagine
a fiend called Boris Johnson, 3 years after he was their hero – the British
Prime Minister. It just doesn’t seem right, that we waste our time with people
that change, while supposedly not capable of changing.
Reason being, for this change of the media, from liberator (expressed
stereotypically) to propaganda tool, is in relation to the influential power of
the corporate onto its work. That the media must make a revenue (for reasons
expressed as the requirement for Capitalist enterprises to exist within), where
average sales of interest cannot sustain it (by the general populace),
supposedly, to the entrenched support or financing from business, has made a
great impact as to which news is covered, and how it is portrayed. The corporate
within itself, may have no control as to which news will sprout up on a daily
or hourly basis, but as it promotes a certain dialogue with the public through
the media, it somehow resembles itself, and its motives, as to where it morally
and intellectually, or knowingly stands to promote interest in any given
subject which may arise.
CNN for example, a renowned global news firm, is owned by a company
called Time Warner, for reasons unknown other than to fund the widespread power
of CNN’s foothold on the news realm globally, though it placates itself as a
liberal and fair voice for that which appears – without acknowledging the
impact and control which its holding company has on it.
The assumption of the reality of news to exist, like gossip it turns out
to be, superficially drawing its power from the exclusiveness, or separation it
holds onto its subject portrayed, is brought across to the public as a given,
today, but we assume that the media broadcasts these tales, as they are
expressed quite subtly, are speaking no lies, or has no unconscious bias
towards the public it supposedly, honourably conforms too.
